Precision agriculture has the potential to produce 'more with less', reduce the environmental impact of the sector and contribute to greater sustainability within the European food and farming chains.
Precision agriculture is also high on the agenda of European policy-makers, including EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan. We asked Tom Tynan, Member of Phil Hogan's cabinet, to share his views on the future of precision agriculture in Europe and the expectations from the Internet of Food and Farm (IoF)2020 project.
